On this week’s show Pastor Joe Schimmel continues his discussion on how to have victory over evil thoughts that often times are put there by our adversary the devil. “We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). However, we can have victory through Jesus Christ. “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8b).

Pastor Joe. I really need to know when a believer crosses the boundries with regards to judging. A came across a church that is in the process of launching in January of 2014. I really like it but there are a few areas of concern and though I don’t think I am judging I have concerns about men wearing earings/gadges in their ears especially if they are leaders in worship. Another person who is a leader actually feels it ok for him to get tatoos so long as they are Godly and though he says he would never encourage others because this is between him and God the tatoos do show on his arms and aren’t that easy to hide. Now, no matter what I feel personally I do see that their hearts seem to be in the right place but outwardly “even men” be careful about following after the world. I need clear answers. Because I have heard on occassion the pastors say we are no longer under the old ways of the old testament – we are not under condemnation. So if God had an issue with it then wouldn’t he still have issues with it today? Or .. maybe I am just old fashioned? Need your help.
