On this week’s show Pastor Joe Schimmel continues discussing an issue that is raised every year around this time – is it okay for Christians to celebrate Christmas? There are many charges made against celebrating Christmas, and while many of these are seemingly valid, what does scripture have to say about this subject? Is it okay to celebrate our Lord’s birth and the fact that God became a man to die for the sins of the world? In Parts 1 & 2 of this multi-part series, Pastor Joe looked at how the Jehovah’s Witnesses have influenced the notion that celebrating Christmas is wrong, the notion that it is “creature worship.” We realize that many listeners may also have questions concerning the pagan connections to Christmas, as well as other questions. These topics are addressed in this show!

What are your toughts on the new film based on Noah starring russell crow
The movie hasn’t been released yet, so we have not seen it. Perhaps after we have seen it we may have some comments about it.
Joe,
Love your work with “they sold their souls” man. Concerning Christmas however, I’m afraid that the church as a whole has been duped into believing that it’s just fine to celebrate as long as they’re celebrating it “to Jesus”. I’m not a JW, just to get that out of the way, I have no church affiliation. I do however, believe the Bible entirely. Elohim is the same yesterday, today, and forever, right? YHUH did not stand for his people worshipping him the way pagans did, and he still “hates” it. Christmas was celebrated by pagans centuries before Yahshua (Jesus) came, and didn’t become a “Christian” celebration until 200-300 AD…Yahshua, the apostles, and such never celebrated it because it was a pagan holiday…and are we to now celebrate it? We know for a fact Yahshua wasn’t born anywhere close to that day, so why bring people to the knowledge of the savior by starting out with a lie?
Would love to hear from you. Keep up the good fight.
