Hello brother Joe and Goodfight team.There are two well known biblical characters that depict what happens when any one opens the door to Satan. The door of their heart! They are Cain and Judas! Of Cain (in Genesis 4:7) the scripture says “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. Well we all know what choice Cain made and we see his end! Because he chose ultimate sin! One scripture asks the question “wherefore did he kill his brother? And answers “because his own works were evil and his brother’s righteous. Cain killed Abel because he/Abel chose God and righteousness! He/Cain, wanted to stomp out righteousness so evil would prevail! Also when Cain’s offering was rejected Gen. 4:5 it said “But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth and his countenance fell. Correct me if I’m wrong, BUT THIS IS A PICTURE OF DEPRESSION! One of the main disorders in the makeup of mentle illness! And brother Joe, I would hasten to agree that all of us would be victims of our own mental illness through our Adamic nature except for the grace of God! In the book of Luke ch 22:3 the scripture says “then Satan entered into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. Again we all know what the end of Judas’ life was like. When Satan was finished with him; Matt. 27:3-10. Might I ask how a man who was a thief and loved money so much could change so quickly to a person who did’nt now want to live? I mean, the whole idea of having money is so one can enjoy life! But this man changed in a matter of a couple of hours, maybe less to a deranged suicidal wreck! I know Jesus said “woe to the one by whom the Son of man is betrayed.” But before that he also said “have I not chosen you twelve and one of you is a devil!”
